This stool is finely crafted using a thicker 2-inch live edge style wooden round seat and contemporary rounded style legs, ensuring each stool is unique, slightly differing in natural wood grain, patterning and organic shape.
This one-of-a-kind steam stool can accomodate a small metal pot or short ceramic vessel, for herbal pelvic or yoni steaming. It is perfect for those who live in tight quarters, nomadic people, or peristeam practitioners always on the go.

Best Practices:
To ensure a warm perineal steam sauna session, be sure to drape a thick towel or blanket around your legs and waist to contain the steam, as this is an open aesthetic, designed with smaller spaces in mind. Need an extra seat for company, add throw pillow or enjoy as a perfectly postured surface for your meditation practice.

What is Peri Steaming and is it safe?
Yes, peristeaming (also known as pelvic, hip or yoni steaming) is safe and effective when practiced according to the recommendations of your peristeam hydrotherapy practitioner. Steaming is an ancient practice, with multiple case studies, intended to soften and dissolve mucus and draw out bacteria, growths, stagnation and imbalanced PH, caused by inefficient detoxification of the reproductive organs.
The uniquely shaped opening is meant to allow for localized steam to gently and safely open up the pores and arteries. Aiding in detoxification to efficiently support your vaginal, colon and prostate wellness, while not providing too much heat or dampness (a common misconception of physicians). Creating too much heat can adversely aggrevate an infection, so be mindful to follow instructions on the herbal blends (for sale in our online shop).

Maintenance: 
Clean using with mild soap and warm water. To disinfect, mix one part lemon juice, one part white vinegar and two parts water, and wipe down with a clean cloth. Light foodgrade oils may be used to protect from natural wear and tear. The uniquely shaped opening allows for the steam to heal the entirety of the pelvic floor, from vulva to prostate and anus. Our saunas are finished with a light finishing oil, which is 100% natural and non-toxic.

What if I want to create more of a steamy sauna?
To contain the steam, wrap a towel, blanket or robe around your lower body from hips, down (known as hip-cloaking). This stool is designed for multifunctional use, for your changing needs and seasons. The closer your water level is to the steam opening, the more direct steam you will experience without hip cloaking. Cloaking is not recommended in hot climates or if you have too much heat in the body (ie. if you experience night sweats, infections and/or hot flashes)
